Retracer is an alternative rock band originating from the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. Formed in 2019 when college students Will Burghard and Noah Sheridan met in the city's underground noise-rock scene and bonded over their mutual appreciation for alternative rock from the '80s and '90s. Later joined by drummer George Mosher and bassist Julian Barthold, together they set out to retrace the steps of the great rock songwriters of the past half-century and bring melody and harmonic richness to today's loud guitar music.
